In today’s Follow the Money, more maddening U.S. taxpayer waste in Afghanistan. This time in a project intended to stem corruption.
According to a report by the Inspector General, $160 million U-S tax dollars was spent on a failed program. It was supposed to switch customs collections to electronic payments from a cash system vulnerable to rampant fraud.
